Grateful we can breathe

Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD. (Psalm 150:6)

That we have a breath means we are alive. So we can be grateful we are alive today, remembering the creator, who formed me from the dust of the ground and breathed into my nostrils the breath of life.

My wife Esther, who died of acute hepatitis B positive last Christmas, went to heaven in five days after the outbreak. The doctor said if Americans get this disease, they die in five days.

She died because her breathing stopped, even though her liver had not been functioning already. We need to be grateful we can breathe, a thousand times.

I came to know a person is alive only if there’s a breathing on his or her neck, weeping aloud before her death.

When we breathe in, we eat the life of the Lord. When we breathe out, we give praise of thanks giving to the Lord. That’s how I could learn ‘the breathing-prayer’.

What about making this fine springtime ‘the month of praise’, when everything that has breath praise the LORD ?
