The Excellence of Hangeul
By Dr. Moses Lee
At the beginning of October, the season of 天高馬肥 (when the sky is high and the horse is fat in fall), I praise the Lord, who gave us ‘Hangeul’ Day (Korean alphabet Proclamation day) of October 9.
The excellence of Hangeul
Give praise to the Lord, who has granted us Korean, one of the most scientific ones among 6,500 languages in the world. (From a doctoral thesis of Yeonsei University, Korea)
I’ll pray for you, my coworkers that you can speak English fluently to inform the whole world of the excellence of Hangeul.
In Revelation, it is written people will use their native language on earth or in heaven in the last days. Therefore, to us Koreans, Hangeul is an everlasting language and the greatest gift from the Lord.
Then I saw another angel flying in midair, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth--to every nation, tribe, language and people.(Rv 14:6)
After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: "Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb." (Rv 7:9,10)
